HOW TO ENTER

Purchase a specially marked copy of “Marie Claire Comfort” with a competition sticker attached to the cover from a participating store and then, in 25 words or less, write about your most memorable dining experience, and include your full name, address and phone number, the original competition sticker and a copy of your purchase receipt and send it in a stamped envelope to:

so that it is received by last mail on 29/12/06.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

  1. Information on how to enter and prizes forms part of these conditions of entry.
  2. Entry is open to all residents of Australia except employees and their immediate families of the Promoter, participating stores, and their agencies associated with this promotion.
  3. Promotion commences 01/09/06. Entries close last mail received on 29/12/06. Only entries including an original competition sticker and a copy of the store purchase receipt will be accepted. This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each entry will be individually judged based on literary and creative merit. Judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  4. Limit of one entry per product purchased. Photocopied competition stickers will not be accepted.
  5. The best entry, as determined by the judges, will win the prize of a Marie Claire Homewares pack, including linen, kitchen utensils and table top ware, valued at $3,000.00. The next four best entries, as determined by the judges, will each win a Marie Claire Homewares pack valued at $400.00.
  6. Total value of all prizes is $4,600.00. Prizes, or any unused portion of a prize, is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. No responsibility is accepted for any variation in the value of the prize.
  7. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Conditions of Entry.
  8. No responsibility accepted for late, lost or misdirected mail.
  9. Winners will be notified by telephone.
  10. If a winner is under the age of 18 years, the prize will be awarded to the winner's parent or guardian.
  11. In the event that a prize(s) is/are not available, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute prize(s) in its discretion to the same and equal recommended retail value and/or specification.
  12. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury which is suffered or sustained, as a result of taking any of the prizes, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
  13. In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion.
  14. The Promoter collects entrants’ personal information in order to conduct the promotion. If the information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the promotion. By entering the promotion, unless otherwise advised by the entrant, each entrant consents to the information they submit (with their literary piece) being entered into a database and the Promoter may use this information in any media for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without any further reference or payment or other compensation to the entrant, including sending the entrant electronic messages. All personal details of the entrants will be stored at the office of the Promoter. A request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to that office. In addition, all literary pieces become the property of the Promoter and it is a condition of entry that those literary pieces may be used by the Promoter for their own promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without restriction.
  15. Entrants consent to the Promoter using the entrant's name and their entry in any media for an unlimited period of time without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter. Winning entries may be edited before publication at the Promoter’s absolute discretion.
  16. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the prize winnings. Independent financial advice should be sought.
  17. The Promoter reserves the right to request winners to provide proof of identity and proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter.
