The Girl Who Played with Fire has just been released in the US and debuted on The New York Times bestseller list at #1. The trade paperback edition of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is also at #2 on the bestseller list. Fantastic!

COLIN COTTERILL WINS A DAGGER

Colin Cotterill has been awarded the Dagger in the Library Award by the UK Crime Writers Association - the judges said of his series of Dr Siri novels: 'An unusual hero in an unusual setting. Quirky, funny and very appealing. His books are a truly beautiful read.'

ANOTHER TIME PAST CREATED WINS

The winners of the 2009 Australian Publishers' Association Book Design Awards were announced as part of the Sydney Writers' Festival on Thursday 21st May and we were very excited to take out two awards on the night!. Another Time Past Created, designed by Toyoko Sugiwaka, won Best Designed General Illustrated Book and this beautiful, captivating book was also awarded Best Designed Book of the Year overall! A wonderful achievement.

STELLA RIMINGTON AT PWF

Stella Rimington, author of Dead Line,will head to Australia in late February to participate as a headline guest at Perth Writers' Festival. Benjamin Gilmour, author of Warrior Poets, and Imran Ahmad, author of Unimagined, will also be appearing at the Festival.

HEATH: A FAMILY'S TALE

Heath Ledger has just been nominated for the 2009 Academy Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role, with the winners to be announced on 23rd February.

This follows his winning of the Screen Actors Guild Award, the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture, and joins his nomination for a BAFTA.
