Though she exhibited artistic talent at a young age, she did not pursue fine art until much later in life. A chance encounter with alcohol inks in 2011 renewed her creative spirit. She believes the difficulty to control alcohol inks has improved her focus and given her a new creative edge and says the inks can be incredibly frustrating and freeing at the same time. Monica also enjoys creating detailed drawings in pen and ink, relief printmaking, pyrography, watercolor painting, and mixed media. Monica has exhibited art since 2012 in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and Houston, TX. She has had two solo art exhibitions and has a third coming up in June of 2015.
